157 – A Delay is not a Denial, Ectopic Pregnancy to Rainbow with Abi Ade

Erica Michelle

A Delay is not a Denial!

Today’s guest believes that her faith is what helped her through her ectopic pregnancies, fallopian tube loss, miscarriage, and rainbow baby pregnancy.

Abi Ade @iamthatmum is our @SistersinLoss from across the pond residing in London.  In this episode she shares her journey to motherhood which began in 2015 after her wedding she found out she was pregnant.  That pregnancy resulted in a ruptured fallopian tube due to an ectopic pregnancy and she had to have it removed to save her life.  Abi went on to experience another ectopic pregnancy in which the doctors were able to save her remaining tube.  Abi shares in this episode how she dealt another pregnancy ending with a miscarriage, how she was about to give up, and her perseverance to become a mum and pregnancy and delivery of her rainbow baby.

This episode is for you to listen to if you have ever felt like giving up on this journey to parenthood, and know that a delay is not denial and your promise is coming!

Abi Ade’s Bio
I am Abi a London born and bred proud Nigerian lady. I’m a wife and now mum to a wonderful little boy. I’m an Optometrist by profession but also the founder of African cultural brand Omomii. I love God and I love people and would like to use my platform to bless and encourage someone.

Tell me about your journey to motherhood? What obstacles have you overcome?

It all started in 2015 I got married in May then in June I find out I’m pregnant. Pregnancy turned out to be an ectopic resulting in the loss of my fallopian tube. Fast forward to November that same year I am pregnant again this time I was sure it was going to be ok. But alas not It was a ruptured ectopic that also resulted in surgery that if God had not moved and used the medics that day I could have lost my remaining tube and worst still even died. But God is merciful I came out ok and with my remaining tube still intact. Then 2017 I end up pregnant again which was a miscarriage at that point I was over pregnancy and just lived my life as happily as I could. But you know God never forgot Me the following year 2018 I find out I’m pregnant again. I can’t lie this time it felt different I can’t explain how. But let’s just say God blessed me with the most perfect gift I’ve ever received feb 2019. Delay does not mean denial
